on luggage and Aeroflot / Japan

So, my first trip to Asia is already finished. A few notes on baggage and the flight.

I went to Japan in second part of September - it was still fairly hot (the hottest was around 32 degrees C, the lowest was around 22C, I think). In Kyoto and Osaka (because of typhoon, I think) it was raining really hard, so both waterproof jacket and polar was useful.

I've packed in one backpack but due to taking too much into it, soon ended with backpack and hand bag. >< And I tried not to take much. The bad things taken were for sure: too much shirts (got 5 with the one on me, 3 would be enough), too big dress (bought another one in Japan) and used only in Tokyo (4 days) flip-flops... It wasn't a problem at all to wash the clothes in hotels (100-yen-coin operated laundry/dryer machines).

With netbook (1kg) and Sony Cybershot camera my luggage had around 8 kg and was ok for a carry-on bag. Polar and waterproof jacket not included in the 8 kg thing.

Aeroflot is ok as an airline. Food isn't so bad, they are just always behind the schedule, somehow. I was a bit surprised that when arriving/departing to/from Warsaw there was no announcements in Polish (only Russian and English) but when going to/from Tokyo there were also announcements in Japanese.

Both Narita and Moscow airports are spacious and the walking distance is far stretched, so it's best to appear even half an hour earlier from the planned time. ;) And the bookstore chain was on the other side of the 4th floor (I was departing from North Wing, Tsutaya bookstore was in South Wing).
